Te Akau Racing has five horses entered on Thursday 2 December at New Plymouth

Weather: fine, track: Dead6, rail: out 3 metres back straight, true 800m to winning post. Showers forecast.

 

1.50 p.m. R2 3 Wairau Cove (3 g Darci Brahma - Distinctive Lass) - Craig Grylls; followed an impressive trial win on 4 November at Matamata, quickening home for third at the trials on 15 November at Taupo, and debuts in $12,000 Maiden 3YO 1100 metres. The year-younger brother to stable-mate and 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) winner Kahma Lass, she was a subsequent stakes' winner at Caulfield this season, he rates a top three prospect despite the wide draw (11).

2.25 p.m. R3 12 Pisco Sour (3 f I Am Invincible - Refreshing) - Craig Grylls; did well closing for a notable fifth to stable-mate Mohawk Brave (Extreme Choice) when debuting in a Maiden 3YO 1000 metres on 28 October at Te Aroha, and was solid again from a wide draw (11) in a Maiden 1215 metres on 16 November at Rotorua. She rates a top three chance in the $12,000 Maiden 1200 metres from barrier six.

3.00 p.m. R4 1 Burgundy Rose (5 m Burgundy - Paraiba) - Joe Kamaruddin (a2); took the lead before being claimed on the line in a $12,000 Rating 74 1200 metres on 16 November at Rotorua, and she contests the corresponding event. With weight relief to 58.5kg, she was a winner last November at her only course attempt, and she rates top three contender from barrier two.

4.46 p.m. R7 12 Nossenko (3 f Savabeel - Vera de Bosset) - Craig Grylls; was without much racing room before finding the line late for fifth when debuting in a Maiden 1215 metres on 16 November at Rotorua, and she steps up in the $12,000 Maiden 1400 metres. She is capable of a first four finish from barrier five.

5.20 p.m. R8 12 Leica Star (3 f Highly Recommended - Leica Glory) - Danielle Johnson; remained back in a Maiden 1215 metres on 16 November at Rotorua, and steps up in $12,000 Maiden 1400 metres. She receives the chance to improve from barrier two.
