Te Akau Taranaki Thursday Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 6 June at New Plymouth. 

New Plymouth:

Weather: fine, track: Heavy10, rail: out 10 metres. No rain forecast.  

2:52 p.m. R6 6 Popthebubbles (4 m Wrote – Vickezzlepin) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); she ran on solidly for fourth in the Rating 75 1600 metres on 27 April at Wanganui, but remained rearward in the Rating 75 2100 metres on 18 May at Te Rapa. Dropping in grade for the $17,000 Rating 65 1800 metres, she is a dual winner on heavy ground over 1600 metres, and is capable of bouncing back with a solid performance. Fixed odds: $4.60 & $1.95.

3:27 p.m. R7 4 Malborough Bay (4 g Darci Brahma – Spin ‘N Grin) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); he did well in a battle to win the Rating 65 1400 metres on 27 April but was subsequently unable to quicken in the Rating 75 1400 metres on 18 May, both at Te Rapa. Contesting the $17,000 Rating 75 1600 metres, he has raced well on the course previously and rates a top four chance. Fixed odds: $3.70 & $1.60.
