2:17 p.m. R4 12 Kansas Storm (3 f Savabeel – Kansas) – Craig Grylls; she began awkwardly and remained back in the field after being pushed wide in the Maiden Fillies & Mares 1100 metres on 4 January at Te Aroha. Not much went right for her on that occasion and she has been given time (33 days), and today contests the $18,500 Maiden 1000 metres. Prior to resuming, she quickened nicely for second in a trial on 17 December at Pukekohe, and receives opportunity to improve from barrier five. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.20.
