Te Akau Racing has five horses entered on Friday 17 September at Taupo.

2.02 p.m. R4 1 Aotea Lad  (5 g Savabeel - Corsage) - Niranjan Parmar (a4); sustained a strong run for third when trialling on 3 September at Cambridge, and resumes in the $12,000 Rating 74 1300 metres. A Group 2 winner, twice Group 3 placed, and runner-up to stable-mate Probabeel (Savabeel) in the Karaka Million 2YO (Restricted Listed, 1200m), he has weight relief to 59kg. Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.20.

2.02 p.m. R4 2 Aromatic  (5 m Sacred Falls - Vickezzchardonnay) - Joe Kamaruddin (a2); has registered three wins and four seconds from eight starts, and resumes in the $12,000 Rating 74 1300 metres. She worked home well over a sprint trip for fourth when trialling on 6 September at Cambridge, is a winner to 1600 metres, with weight relief to 58kg and look for her finding the line. Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.40.

2.02 p.m. R4 7 Maasir  (4 g Proisir - Maakel) - Ryan Elliot; worked home strongly for third once clear in the straight when trialling on 3 September at Cambridge, and resumes in the $12,000 Rating 74 1300 metres. He recorded consecutive wins to 2100 metres at Te Rapa, before spelling in February, and is capable of bold first-up effort. Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.40.

2.02 p.m. R4 8 Seajetz  (4 g Iffraaj - Bellazeel) - Danielle Johnson; worked home solidly over a sprint trip for fourth when trialling on 6 September at Cambridge, and resumes in the $12,000 Rating 74 1300 metres. Twice a winner to 1600 metres during his first campaign, he should go well before stepping up in distance. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $1.90.

3.12 p.m. R6 14 Leica Star (3 f Highly Recommended - Leica Glory) - Joe Kamaruddin (a2); rounded off well to photo-finish for third when trialling on 3 September at Cambridge, and debuts in the $12,000 Maiden 1200 metres. She finished second to subsequent winning two-year-old stable-mate Noverre (Savabeel) when trialling in January at Matamata, and is from an Iffraaj (Zafonic) mare that won on rain-affected going. Fixed odds: $13.00 & $3.30.
