Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Wednesday 22 August at Taupo.
As on Tuesday 21 August the conditions were: raining and Slow7, rail true. 3mls rain forecast Tuesday and 3mls Wednesday.
1.44 p.m. R3 1 Don'tblamethemusic (5 g Coats Choice - Blame The Music) - Nik Bakar (a4); trialled well for a close third to subsequent Foxbridge Plate (Gr. 2, 1200m) winning stable-mate Melody Belle (Commands) on 17 July at Te Rapa, and resumes from barrier one in the $11,000 Rating 72 1200 metres. A winner of his first two starts, and three from eight in total, he receives weight relief to 55kgs and should go well if appreciative of the course and footing.
2.19 p.m. R4 3 The Real Beel (3 f Savabeel - Ahna) - Jason Waddell; trialled nicely for fourth on 17 July at Te Rapa, and resumes in the $10,000 NZB Pearl Series 3YO Fillies 1100 metres (eligible $11,500 bonus). Impressive winning on debut, third in the Matamata Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 2, 1200m), she finished fifth to stable-mates Sword Of Osman (Savabeel) and Avantage (Fastnet Rock) in the Sistema Stakes (Gr. 1, 1200m). She has the gate speed to take a handy position from barrier four and should go well.
2.19 p.m. R4 5 Ritzy Sparkle (3 f Pins - Kumari) - Shafiq Rusof; trialled well for a close fifth on 13 August at Te Teko, and resumes in the $10,000 NZB Pearl Series 3YO Fillies 1100 metres. A debut winner over 1200 metres on Slow9 in May at Pukekohe, she can utilize barrier two and could handle conditions better than some in a small but competitive field.
