Te Akau Tauranga Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight race programme on Thursday 28 April at Tauranga.
As on Wednesday 27 April the conditions were: fine and Slow7, rail out 6 metres. No rain forecast.

12.52 p.m. R2 4 Highly Likely (5 g High Chaparral - Starrinka) - Daniel Miller; ran on into midfield behind subsequent Championship Stakes (Gr. 2, 2100m) winner The Hassler (Shocking) when resuming in the Rating 75 1600 metres at Pukekohe, and likely to race a lot handier in the Maiden & Jumpers High-Weight 2100 metres. He appears well placed in this field and should appreciate the going to rate a top four chance.

4.23 p.m. R8 6 Skyscraper (4 g Manhattan Rain - Grand Performance) - Cameron Lammas; went a touch quick, when the winner came from last in the Rating 65 1800 metres at Dargaville, and drops back to a mile with visor blinkers on. He won four starts ago over 1600 metres on Good3 at Matamata, with this rider aboard, and can act if suited to the footing.
