Te Akau Tauranga Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight race programme on Wednesday 13 July at Tauranga.
As on Tuesday 12 July the conditions were: fine and Heavy10, rail out 10 metres. Rain forecast after 6 p.m. race day.
12.22 p.m. R1 4 Bobtail (2 f Alamosa - Cavendish Belle) - Cameron Lammas; showed plenty of resolve for third to impressive winner Mongolianlightning (Bullbars) in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres on Heavy10 at Matamata, with Lammas aboard, following a similar performance for third on Heavy10 at Te Teko. Continuing to improve with experience, she appears an each way prospect again in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres.
3.56 p.m. R7 2 Cabaret (3 f Showcasing - Something Majic) - Cameron Lammas; trialled well for second before resuming with a win in the Maiden Fillies and Mares 1200 metres on Heavy10 at Avondale, with Lammas aboard, and makes natural progression into the Rating 65 1200 metres. Her dam, Something Majic (Mohamed Abdu), was extremely proficient in heavy going. She has trained on, worked well Saturday, and rates an each way chance.
