Te Akau Tauranga Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Thursday 26 April at Tauranga.
As on Wednesday 25 April the conditions were: fine and Dead5, rail true. No rain forecast.
1.33 p.m. R3 8 Icebomb (3 f Darci Brahma - Snowdonia) - Michael McNab; was stiff not to win when resuming in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 8 April at Pukekohe - checked and finished second in a head bobbing finish. Stakes placed at two in the Phoenix Park Classic (Gr. 3, 1200m), she ran the fastest last 600m (33.8) of the day when resuming here last October over 1200 metres and gets her chance for redemption in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1300 metres.
2.08 p.m. R4 3 Full of Grace (3 g O'Reilly - Tuesday's Child) - Shafiq Rusof; pressed forward to lead at a genuine tempo and kept galloping solidly to win a 1000-metre trial on 3 April at Avondale, and resumes off 148 days in the $10,000 Maiden 1300 metres. Out of a Zabeel (Sir Tristram) mare, he is bred to appreciate more distance but prospects are enhanced from barrier one.
2.43 p.m. R5 2 Devil May Care (4 g Lonhro - Devil's Song) - Shafiq Rusof; won effortlessly at the trials before winning untouched, in the fastest final 600m (35.1) of the day, when resuming over 1200 metres on 14 March at Matamata, and ran the second fastest (34.4) for fifth in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 6 April at Awapuni. With the addition of side winkers, and likely to settle just off the pace from barrier four, he has the form to threaten in the $10,000 Rating 65 1300 metres.
