Te Akau Tauranga Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the eight-race programme on Saturday November 1 at Tauranga.

As on Friday October 31 the conditions were: overcast and Dead6, rail true.

5.08 p.m. R8 8 Merrily (4 m O'Reilly - Mchappy) - Matt Cameron; comes in off 29-days after making good ground from twelfth on Oct. 3 in the Rating 65 1400 metres on Dead6 footing at Te Rapa, and contests the corresponding race from barrier four. She had also made up plenty after missing the start when resuming prior over 1200 metres at Wanganui. She showed in winning her maiden over this trip by nearly five lengths that she harbours the necessary goods and has the right draw to prove competitive.
