Te Akau Tauranga Thursday Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Thursday 28 November at Tauranga (twilight meeting).

Weather: fine, track: Dead4, rail: out 2 metres. No rain forecast.

5.02 p.m. R5 8 Zouluminous (3 f Zoustar - Luminous Harmony) - Chelsea Burdan (a3); trialled well before finishing third on debut in the Maiden 3YO 1300 metres on 10 November at Hastings. With the addition of blinkers, and weight relief to 52.5kgs, she receives an opportunity to improve further in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1400 metres (main picture as a yearling).

6.18 p.m. R7 10 Romantic Lady  (3 f Power - Romantic Time) - Craig Grylls; recorded a very good victory in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 7 November at Otaki, running home in the fastest 600m (34.6), and following a third and second. Given time (21 days), she meets a much stronger field up in grade for the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres and requires luck from barrier 10, but has shown enough to measure up.
