Te Akau has one runner at Ashbuton kick-starting a busy weekend.
Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the eight-race programme on Friday March 15 at Ashburton.
As at 9:36am on Wednesday March 13 the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail in the true position.
4:23pm R7 2 Viana (4 m Volksraad - Hecuba) - Toni Direen (a2); fought solidly for sixth on Feb. 2 in the Dunedin Gold Cup (Listed, 2400m) at Wingatui, and has been freshened for the Benchmark 75 1400 metres. A winner over this trip as a three-year-old, she has since won four races up to 2000 metres and acts fresh to produce an encouraging performance before stepping up in distance.
