Two Te Akau ladies head to South Canterbury on Thursday.
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the nine-race programme on Thursday April 11 at Timaru.
As at 8:24am on Wednesday April 10 the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail true.
3:05pm R6 5 Riverenza (3 f King's Chapel - Sea Rhythm) - Lisa Allpress; received a nice trip on the rail but was unable to quicken inside the furlong on March 23 over 1800 metres at Riccarton, first time up in grade following a commanding win over 1800m on the same course. Back to a mile against her own sex, she has the ability to turn her form around and should secure a suitable trip from barrier seven.
4:45pm R9 6 Sovereign Rose (5 m Pins - Pavan) - Lisa Allpress; comes from the same race as Riverenza, above, where stifled for room in the straight she dashed through late to finish close up in fourth. Drawn the outside barrier of eight in the Benchmark 65 2100 metres, she has the turn of foot to arrive with a strong finish.
