Te Akau Te Teko Monday Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has four horses racing on Monday 27 January at Te Teko.

Weather: fine, track: Dead5, rail: true. Showers forecast Monday.

1.44 p.m. R3 12 Aromatic  (3 f Sacred Falls - Vickezzchardonnay) - Michael McNab; has been very solid through the trials stage and debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres. Her dam, Vickezzchardonnay (Don Eduardo), was an impressive five-time winner from 1600m to 2100m. Although destined to go further, she should go well with luck from barrier 10.

2.19 p.m. R4 4 You're Welcome (4 g Camelot - Chorus of Angels) - Michael McNab; finished fourth after positioning outside the leader in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 11 December at Hastings, and third in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 2 January at Tauherenikau. He has the pedigree to appreciate stepping up in the $10,000 Rating 65 2100 metres.

3.29 p.m. R6 1 Full of Grace  (5 g O'Reilly - Tuesday's Child) - Jonathan Riddell; found the line when resuming over 1200 metres on 18 December at Matamata, before a tough trip on 3 January in the Rating 65 1200 metres. Strong winning over 1600 metres in February last year, he gets a chance to improve in the $10,000 Rating 65 1600 metres.

3.29 p.m. R6 9 Zouluminous  (3 f Zoustar - Luminous Harmony) - Michael McNab; continued to show improvement in three starts before proving far too good in the Maiden 1600 metres on 9 January at Wanganui. Ideally drawn (4) in the $10,000 Rating 65 1600 metres, she appears capable of measuring up admirably.
