Te Akau Te Aroha Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the seven race programme on Thursday 17 March at Te Aroha.

As on Wednesday 16 March the conditions were: cloudy and Dead4, rail out 8 metres. Rain (3mls) is forecast Wednesday night.

3.16 p.m. R5 6 Herschal (3 g Savabeel - Starring) - Mark Du Plessis; resumes off 62 days in the Maiden 1200 metres, having worked home well from last in a recent trial at Cambridge. Destined to run over more ground, he will be allowed to find his feet from a wide gate and round off solidly.

3.51 p.m. R6 6 Tatters (3 f Tavistock - Rattle) - Cameron Lammas; resumes off 145 days in the Rating 65 1200 metres, with the benefit of a tidy trial behind the well-performed Gold Miner (Gold Mine) at Cambridge. She won her maiden over 1200 metres on slow footing at Te Rapa, ended her previous campaign with a solid sixth in the $50,000 Soliloquy Stakes (Listed, 1400m) at Ellerslie, and while improvement will come for the run she has the form to produce a cheeky performance.
