15 March, 2018
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 16 March at Te Aroha.
As on Thursday 15 March the conditions were: cloudy and Slow7, rail out 6 metres. No rain forecast.
4.04 p.m. R6 1 Chadsdale (6 g Castledale - Geeiliani) - Opie Bosson; has looked good in two trials and resumes off a lengthy spell in the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. Competitive in Rating 75 grade and a winner over the distance, he carries top weight (60kgs) and drawn wide (13) but can act fresh and copes with give in the ground.
4.45 p.m. R7 2 Tavis Star (6 m Tavistock - Megapins) - Opie Bosson; did everything right when finishing second in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 18 February at Gisborne, but had no luck four days later in the Rating 65 1900 metres at Wairoa. A top four finisher in 21 of her 30 starts, and a course/distance winner on heavy ground, she rates an each way chance from barrier three in a solid field for the $12,000 NZB Insurance Rating 65 1600 metres.
