Te Akau Te Aroha Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Wednesday 17 October at Te Aroha.

As on Tuesday 16 October the conditions were: cloudy and Dead6, rail true. No rain forecast.

4.29 p.m. R9 1 Don'tblamethemusic (5 g Coats Choice - Blame the Music) - Nik Bakar (a4); made it two from two this time in, and five from 10 in total, with another very good win on 21 September in the Rating 72 1300 metres at Taupo. Both wins were recorded at Taupo, and each with Bakar aboard. Remaining in the same grade and claiming to 58.5kgs for the $11,000 Rating 72 1400 metres, he again appears ideally placed to rate an each way chance from barrier three.

5.04 p.m. R10 10 Fine Bouquet (4 m Burgundy - Ensorcelez) - Shafiq Rusof; capped two good runs with a comprehensive win over 1400 metres in May at Waipa, before spelling, and raced keenly near the speed in a race that suited back runners when resuming over 1200 metres at Wanganui. Shafiq was aboard for her Maiden win and although unsuited by the draw (11) she can produce an improved performance in the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres.

5.34 p.m. R11 1 King Kane (5 g Showcasing - Vannista Belle) - Nik Bakar (a4); has run competitive times in both starts this season, in races that never changed complexion, and drops in grade for the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres. Ideally drawn (2), on footing to suit, and weight relief to 56kgs, he has the form to rate a top four chance if getting back to his best.
