Te Akau Te Aroha Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has four horses racing on Wednesday 13 February at Te Aroha.

As on Tuesday 12 February the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 3 metres. No rain forecast.

1.15 p.m. R3 7 Lilikoi
(2 f Charm Spirit - Barbadine) - Craig Grylls; coasted along in front,
coming clear to win impressively, in good time, when trialling over 800 metres
on 22 January at Matamata. No shortage of natural talent and she should go well
on debut from barrier four in the $10,000 Maiden 2YO 1000 metres.

3.07 p.m. R6 1 Fabulous Flight (4 g I Am Invincible -
Court Flying) - Nik
Bakar (a3); ran a notable race for fourth after being three wide in
midfield on 28 January in the Rating 65 1400 metres at Te Teko, with Bakar
aboard. With two solid fourths following a strong win, he rates an each way
chance, claiming to 56kgs, in a strong field for the $10,000 Rating 65 1600
metres, sponsored by Te Akau Racing - Three Times Karaka Million Winner.

4.22 p.m. R8 8 Qiji Crystal (3 f Per Incanto - Moss Lady) - Matt Cameron; was rearward
from a wide gate before running home strongly in tight quarters for third in
the $10,000 Maiden 1600 metres on 28 January at Te Teko, and contests
the corresponding event. Drawn wide (13) again, she brings strong form and just
requires some luck to threaten.

4.57 p.m. R9 3 Jet Set (4 g Savabeel - Society Lady) -
Jonathan Riddell; found the line from a long way back (12 lengths 600m) when
debuting here in the Maiden 1200 metres on 3 January, and ran home solidly for
third in the Maiden 1400 metres on 23 January at Avondale. Increased distance
appears ideal in the $10,000 Maiden 1600 metres and he rates a top three chance
from barrier six.
