Te Akau Te Aroha Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 15 March at Te Aroha.

As on Thursday 14 March the conditions were: cloudy and Dead4, rail out 6 metres. No rain forecast.

1.02 p.m. R2 7 Golden Age (3 g Savabeel - La Belle Epoque) - Opie Bosson; just
missed (head) when second in the Maiden 1600 metres on 15 February at Wanganui,
and grabbed on the line (half a head) to finish second again in the Maiden 1550
metres on 1 March at Awapuni. Drawing barrier one should provide an ideal
opportunity to break through in the $10,000 Maiden 1600 metres.

2.47 p.m. R5 3 Witchery (4 m Savabeel - Now the World)
- Opie Bosson; resumed with a good third in the equal fastest last 600m (34.3)
of the day in January at Avondale, had no chance from the rear on very firm
ground at Tauranga (Feb. 6), and emulated her fresh-up run when dashing into
second on 1 March in the Rating 65 1400 metres at Awapuni. Bosson was aboard
for a cosy Maiden win in October, and she rates a good chance in the $10,000
NZB Pearl Series Rating 65 1600 metres.
