Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the seven race programme on Sunday 30 August at Te Aroha.

As on Saturday 29 August the conditions were: overcast and Slow9, rail out 10 metres - rain forecast.

3.06 p.m. R5 11 Sunset Pass (7 g Yamanin Vital - Janet's Chance) - Daniel Miller; was game when finishing a close third here on 9 August in the Maiden Steeplechase 3500 metres on Heavy11, and hoping to contest the corresponding event he finds himself in the Restricted Open Steeplechase 3500 metres following a lack of nominations for the Maiden chase. While coming up against steeplechase winners makes the task harder, he has been chasing well on this course and also pleased in training.
