Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Sunday 23 August at Te Aroha.

11.00 a.m. R1 4 Richard of Yorke (9 g Oasis Dream - Cascata) - Michael Roustoby (a3); produced another genuine effort for fourth in the Rating 83 2100 metres on 8 August at Te Rapa, after running home well for third in the corresponding event on 18 July Awapuni, and makes his jumps debut in the $10,000 Maiden Hurdle (3100m). A winner twice in testing ground last year and second in the Parliamentary Handicap (2200m), he should go well.
11.30 a.m. R2 4 Al Haram (8 g Sea the Stars - En Public) - Michael Roustoby (a3); won the Rating 83 2100 metres on 25 July at Avondale, fought well for fourth in the Rating 91 2100 metres on 8 August at Hawera, and contests the $10,000 Maiden Hurdle (3100m). He brings the right form to prove competitive.
