3 September, 2026
Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 3 September at Te Aroha.
Te Aroha:
Weather: overcast, track: Heavy9, rail: out 4 metres from 1400m – 1000m, remainder out 8 metres. Showers forecast Thursday morning.
3:22 p.m. R7 11 Bolli Belle (4 m Shamus Award – Fille Champagne) – Michael McNab; she was positioned fifth into the home straight and not put under any pressure while sustaining a good gallop to hold her spot in a trial on 4 August at Te Rapa. Resuming in the $40,000 Rating 75 1150 metres, she won her first two starts last season to 1400 metres, including on Heavy9 going, and is ideally drawn (3) to race well first-up. Fixed odds: $4.60 & $1.95.
5:04 p.m. R10 7 She Suits Herself (4 m Savile Row – Sleepygirl) – Cooper Stumbles (a4); she remained back but worked home nicely for a staying mare over a sprint distance in Group & Listed trial on 22 August at Te Rapa. Resuming in the $40,000 Rating 65 1400 metres, she was a close second in Listed Oaks Prelude (1800m) before winning her Maiden over 2100 metres last season,. The apprentice weight relief to 53kg is a big plus as is the right-handed way of going, she has placed here on a Heavy10 track, and is capable of bold showing fresh-up. Fixed odds: $16.00 & $4.50.
