Te Akau New Zealand has 10 horses racing on Wednesday 25 November at Te Rapa (twilight meeting).

2.14 p.m. R2 2 Military Step (5 g Tavistock - Marching
On) - Troy Harris; has kept improving in three starts during this campaign:
sixth, fourth, and second to subsequent winner Cruz Ramirez (Myboycharlie) in
the Rating 65 1600 metres on 8 November at Hastings. Stepping up in the $10,000
Rating 65 2100 metres, he has drawn the outside gate (14) but appears
competitive with a decent trip. Fixed odds: $4.40 & $1.85.

2.49 p.m. R3 13 Felicienne (3 f Savabeel - Flavigny) -
Craig Grylls; powered home widest on the track to win well when trialling on 12
November at Ellerslie, and debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres. She has
been solid through the trials stage, finding the line, and capable of a bold
showing from barrier one. Fixed odds: $4.50 & $1.75.

3.59 p.m. R5 1 Top Brass (5 g Epaulette - Highlight) -
Joe Kamaruddin (a4); defied challengers with a tough victory in the $11,000
Rating 74 1200 metres on 8 November at Hastings, ridden by two-kilo claiming
apprentice Chelsea Burdan, and contests the corresponding event. The winner of
three from six, he carried 54kgs last time, saddled with 55kgs here, and rates
a top four chance in a similar field if appreciative of the course at his first
attempt. Fixed odds: $3.90 & $1.55.

3.59 p.m. R5 12 Combat Queen (4 m Pierro - Missy
Cummings) - Craig Grylls; closed solidly when trialling on 27 October at Taupo,
not overly appreciative on rain-affected going at Matamata, and resumes in the
$11,000 Rating 74 1200 metres. The winner of two (1600m) from five, finding the
line would be encouraging before stepping up. Fixed odds: $10.00 & $3.00.

4.34 p.m. R6 3 No Limits (3 g Savabeel - Make A Wish)
- Danielle Johnson; freshened after three starts, he rounded off nicely for
second when trialling on 12 November at Ellerslie, and resumes as a gelding in
the $10,000 Maiden 3YO
1400 metres. Destined for more distance, he has the ability to race well on
reasonable footing. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.15.

5.44 p.m. R8 11 Kathies Choice (4 m Redoute's Choice - Everswindell) - Danielle
Johnson; was flushed wide before unwinding for third on debut in the Maiden
1200 metres on 14 October at Tauranga, and ran on for fifth in the Maiden 1400
metres on 4 November at Avondale. She finished second when trialling here in
September and rates a top four chance, stepping up in the $10,000 Maiden 1600
metres. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.15.

6.14 p.m. R9 2 Laureate (4 g Snitzel - Floria) - Troy Harris; ended his previous
campaign in solid form, but caught wide when resuming in the Maiden 1200 metres
on 4 November at Avondale. With blinkers on, he receives a chance to
improve in the $10,000 Maiden 1400 metres. Fixed odds: $13.00 & $3.70.

6.48 p.m. R10 15 Vitani (3 f Pins - Queen of Lions) -
Danielle Johnson; ran
home solidly for seventh when debuting in the Maiden 1200 metres on 14
October at Tauranga, and finished fourth after chasing a torrid pace in the
$10,000 Maiden 1400
metres on 4 November at Avondale. Contesting the corresponding event,
she shapes to keep improving with luck from barrier 10. Fixed odds: $11.00
& $3.30.

7.21 p.m. R11 1 Enrichment (4 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Enhance)
- Joe Kamaruddin (a4); circled from last with a strong finish for second when
resuming in the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres on 8 November at Hastings, and
contests the corresponding event. He receives weight relief to 55.5kgs and
should go well with luck from an awkward draw (9). Fixed odds: $11.00 &
$3.50.

7.21 p.m. R11 19 Excitonic (4 g Savabeel - Bint
Piavonic) - Troy
Harris; worked home solidly for fifth when resuming in the Rating 65
1200 metres on 21 October at Matamata, and without much room off the trail in
the Rating 65 1200 metres here on 7 November. He delivered emphatically over
1400 metres in January at Rotorua, and capable of a bold effort from barrier
four in the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres. Fixed odds: $12.70 & $3.70.
