Te Akau Te Rapa Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight-race programme on Wednesday Jan. 22 at Te Rapa.

As on Tuesday Jan. 21 the conditions were: overcast and Dead4, rail out 8 metres.

4:05pm R6 12 Speeding (3 f Volksraad - Rapida) - Matt Cameron; worked home nicely for fourth in a leader dominated Maiden 1700 metres on Jan. 4 at Thames. On debut prior she did a good job in tight quarters for second on Dec. 12 in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres at Hastings. Drawn out in the Maiden 3YO 1600 metres, she will be looking for a cart into proceedings and finish off strongly.

5:15pm R8 10 Tiara (3 f O'Reilly - Royal Lady) - Matt Cameron; came from last on a competitive pace, weaving through near the rail with a massive run to win the Maiden 1600 metres on Jan. 2 at Tauranga. Up in class for the Benchmark 65 1600 metres, she has a shadow roll added to her gear and based on her last start performance appears capable of proving competitive again from barrier five.
