Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the eleven race programme on Saturday 16 May at Te Rapa

As on Friday 15 May the conditions were: showery and Heavy10, rail out 8 metres.

12.10 p.m. R4 6 Sunset Pass (6 g Yamanin Vital - Janet's Chance) - Daniel Miller; kicked off with a run on the flat in April, has since won a steeplechase trial at Cambridge, and had a faultless training preparation ahead of his first jumps assignment for the season in the Maiden Steeplechase over 4100 metres. Daniel (Miller) knows the horse very well, and along with jumps maestro Tommy Hazlett they have enjoyed putting the finesse into him. He has proved a rather fair-weather horse when it comes to the going he prefers and the plan is to hold him together for as long as possible in the run.
