Te Akau Te Rapa Preview
1 July, 2017
Te Akau New Zealand has one horse racing on Saturday 1 July at Te Rapa.
As on Friday 30 June the conditions were: fine and Slow7, rail out 10 metres. 7mls rain forecast Saturday 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., heavier later.
1.33 p.m. R4 3 Tavis Star (5 m Tavistock - Megapins) - Cameron Lammas; was an eye-catching fourth here in the Rating 75 1400 metres, fresh-up on 20 May, and emulated the performance when coming from well back for fourth here in the Rating 75 1600 metres on 10 June. In the $25,000 Rating 75 1600 metres for Fillies & Mares she meets five opponents that were also close up in the same race. Third up from a spell and ideally drawn in barrier four, she has combined with Lammas to finish strongly on three occasions and this multiple placed winner of two races deserves another breakthrough.
