Te Akau New Zealand has one horse racing on Saturday 5 August at Te Rapa.

2.41 p.m. R5 4 Silverdale (8 g Castledale - Elianto) - Michael McNab; produced a notable second up performance when closing solidly for fourth in the Open 1200 metres on 17 June at Ruakaka, with McNab aboard, and running the fastest final 600m (34.3) on the day. Off 49 days, he contests the corresponding $35,000 Open 1200 metres, where Volpe Veloce (Foxwedge) is a commanding $1.60 favourite. He actually raced very well over shorter distances on this course as a two and three-year-old and although building to go further in this campaign could prove competitive again, especially from barrier two and with give in the ground.
