2.38 p.m. R5 8 Our Abbadean (5 m Lookin At Lucky - Highland Lights) - Sam Weatherley; had no chance from a rearward position in the Westbury Classic (Gr. 2, 1400m) on Karaka Million night at Ellerslie, although lost no admirers. Back in class for the $30,000 Rating 85 1600 metres, she has a good course record and capable of getting some of the action from barrier three. Fixed odds: $7.50 & $2.20.

4.25 p.m. R8 7 Heroic Valour (4 h Fastnet Rock - Myrrh) - Opie Bosson; got back in tight quarters before rounding off solidly for fifth in the Telegraph (Gr. 1, 1200m) on 20 January at Trentham, with Bosson aboard. Ideally drawn (2) in the weight-for-age $200,000 BCD Group Sprint (Gr. 1, 1400m), he finished a close fourth to race rival Start Wondering (Eight Wonder) in the corresponding race last year and his four performances this time in have been very good. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.60.
