Te Akau Te Rapa Preview
25 November, 2018
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Sunday 25 November at Te Rapa.
As on race morning, the conditions were: overcast and Dead6, rail out 8 metres. 10mls rain forecast today.
12.46 p.m. R1 10 Encore Encore (3 f Fastnet Rock - Keep on Singing) - Vinnie Colgan; exuded quality and has good form around two smart trial performances for first and second, respectively, and debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1200 metres. Her dam, Keep on Singing (Hennessy), was a very fast mare that won five races from 1200 metres to 1700 metres and stakes placed over a mile in America. She appears capable of producing a bold first up performance against some rivals with respectable race form.
5.24 p.m. R9 10 Enduring Love (3 f Camelot - Holy Moly) - Opie Bosson; struck pretty firm footing and found the line on debut in the Maiden 1200 metres on 10 October at Taupo, and raced on pace when finishing fourth in the Maiden 1400 metres on 2 November at New Plymouth. Her dam, Holy Moly (Holy Roman Emperor), impressed winning on slow ground, so rain-affected footing could work favourably in the $10,000 Maiden Fillies & Mares 1400 metres.
