Te Akau Te Rapa Thursday Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Thursday 17 September at Te Rapa.

3.41 p.m. R6 8 Fashion Shoot (3 f Savabeel - High Fashion) - Danielle Johnson; won well when trialling here in July and fought hard for third after leading on debut in the Maiden 1100 metres on 12 August at Taupo. She is ideally drawn (4) to rate a top three chance in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1200 metres.

4.18 p.m. R7 4 Mai Tai (4 m Atlante - Tropical Punch)- Diego Montes de Oca (a1); looked good finishing fourth on debut over 1200 metres in March at Matamata, recorded a good second when trialling on 3 September at Te Teko, and resumes in the $10,000 NZB Insurance Pearl Series 1200 metres (eligible $11,500 bonus). Drawn wide (11) makes it awkward, but she rates a top four chance with the right trip. 

4.56 p.m. R8 13 Shebringsmerubies (5 m Sebring - Run Away Ruby) - Danielle Johnson; showed genuine attributes again when second on testing ground in the $10,000 Rating 65 1600 metres on 28 August at New Plymouth, and contests the corresponding event. She finished fifth here fresh-up in this campaign, solid since, and rates a top four chance from barrier two.
