Heat 1 2YO 900 metres (½ a length, ½ a length 55.8)
Beluga Caviar (2 f Belardo - Los Vargas) - Sam Weatherley; went forward from an outside gate, was three wide in third, kept up a good gallop for fourth and rolled on nicely through the line.
Heat 2 2YO 900 metres (2 ½ lengths, head 55.1)
2 f Almanzor - Kindred - Craig Grylls; raced handily from barrier two, travelled well to the turn, and sustained a good run for fourth.
Heat 3 2YO 900 metres (½ length, neck 56.6)
2 f Almanzor - Deliciano - Sam Weatherley; was not rushed, getting back on the inner from barrier one, and showed good endeavour when picking up near the rail in a straight for fifth.
Heat 4 2YO 900 metres (neck, head 56.6)
2 f Iffraaj - Equanimity - Craig Grylls; was caught three and four wide in midfield, improved to level the leaders rounding the home turn and found plenty for a close third.
Heat 5 2YO 900 metres (½ head, 4 ½ lengths 56.3)
2 f Tivaci - Discreet Evening - Craig Grylls; began well, was steadied in fourth at the 600m and quickened very well on the inside of runners to win.
Heat 6 2YO 900 metres (nose, 5 ½ lengths 55.6)
2 f Russian Revolution - Fastnet Rose - Sam Weatherley; began well, was chased along fourth on the inner on a genuine pace, cornered well near the rail and sustained a really good gallop to win.
Heat 7 2YO 900 metres (1 ¾ lengths, 1 ¾ lengths 57.1)
Accidental Tourist (2 g Telperion - Megara) - Troy Harris; began best, was steadied to camp on the leaders, went clear on straightening and quickened (one push) away for a very smart win.
Heat 8 Maiden 900 metres (1 ½ lengths, ½ head 55.9)
It's Business Time (3 f Turn Me Loose - Risque Business) - Troy Harris; began well from barrier one, was restrained to trail at the 600m and was solid in the straight, to the inside of runners, when finishing fifth.
Heat 10 Maiden 900 metres (neck, head 56.1)
3 g Turn Me Loose - Dresden Park - Troy Harris; began well to travel comfortably outside the leader and lifted in the straight to a winning advantage.
Heat 11 Open 1100 metres (1 ¾ lengths, 1 ½ lengths 1:10.6)
Milestone (6 g Mastercraftsman - Mission Secrete) - Troy Harris; was easy from the outside gate to settle last, was four lengths off them at the 600m, and worked home well through the centre for fifth.
