Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 15 September -

Course Proper - heavy:

Thirteen horses had a jump out from the race day barriers this morning as they prepare to head to the Avondale trials next Tuesday 20 September. The group included:

Abidewithme (McNab), Vinevale (Miller), Fastnet Fire (Sims), Princess Davone (Fawcett), Winehouse (Miller), 3f Redoute's Choice - Scarlett Lady (McNab), Pure Savalina (Fawcett), Herschal (Sims), Elegant D'Oro (Fawcett), Kuia (Miller), The Chaser (Fawcett), Exhibition (Pinn), and Primrose (Sims).

No. 2 Sand - slushy:

Our sole Hastings runner on Saturday Sassy ‘N' Smart (Miller) worked over 1000 metres and pleased Daniel Miller with how she worked. The Smart Missile filly has drawn barrier six in the Group Three Gold Trail Stakes with Matthew Cameron aboard.

Corporate Missile (Leveque) ran 1000 metres in 1.16.  The last start winning daughter of Smart Missile gets her chance to gain black type next Saturday in the Listed Bonecrusher Stakes at Ellerslie.

Discretely Red (Miller) partnered with Lucy Wyldstyle (Sims) worked 1000 metres in 1.12, last 600 in 42. The pair of three-year-olds heads to Matamata next Wednesday for their race day debuts.

Epic Tale (Leveque) paired with Shocking Luck (McNab) ran 800 metres in 55.1, last 600 in 40.

Unfazed (Hillis) with Madam Monica (K. Price) ran 1000 in 1.12, last 600 in 43.3 while Amperage (Sims) worked 1000 metres in 1.14.

Maleficent (Fawcett) and Vive La Difference (Miller) both worked on their own over 800 metres at three-quarter pace.

All-weather - slushy:

Echezeaux (Leveque) ran 1000 metres in 1.14.5.

Flemington:

Shillelagh (K. Jones) worked over 800 metres in 1.00, last 600 in 44.9. The Christopher & Susanna Grace owned filly has drawn barrier 11 in the A$60,000 Benchmark 78 1200 metre event at Caulfield on Saturday with Damien Oliver engaged for the ride.

Xtravagant (K. Jones) enjoyed his work over 1000 metres, he ran the distance in 1.09, last 600 in 39.1.

Riccarton:

Play For Time (Didham) worked over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace and pleased her rider. The Foxwedge filly has drawn barrier three in the Listed Canterbury Belle Stakes at Riccarton on Saturday.

Imperium (Shailer) ran 1000 metres at three-quarter pace. He will kick off his campaign on Saturday in the Rating 75 1400 metre event with Michael McNab engaged to ride.

Love Actually (Shailer) worked at three-quarter pace over 800 metres as she prepares for her spring campaign.
