Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 6 October -

Flemington:

Shillelagh (K. Jones) worked over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace as she prepares to start next Wednesday at Caulfield in the Group Three Lady Day Vase over 1600 metres.


Matamata:

Course Proper:

Zambezi Warrior (McNab) prepared for a tilt at the Listed Matamata Cup on Saturday by working over 1000 metres wide out on the course proper.

No. 2 Sand

Vive La Difference (Miller) looked good working over 1000 metres in 1.14.5, last 600 in 44.5. The mare begins her spring campaign on Saturday at Hawera in the Rating 85 1400 metre contest with Michael McNab engaged to ride.

Heroic Valour (McNab) worked with Tavis Star (Fawcett) worked over 1000 metres in 1.14, last 600 in 44.2. The pair headed to our South Island base on Saturday and both will kick off next Saturday at Ashburton.

Fastnet Fire (K. Price) worked stylishly over 1000 metres in 1.04, last 600 in 37 while Beaumarchais (McNab) ran 1000 metres, running his last 800 in 55.4, 600 in 40.2.

Princess Davone (Cole) and Primrose (Cameron) both worked individually over 800 metres.


Riccarton:

O'Naturelle (Didham) worked over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace.

We had a group of horses jump out from the race day barriers, including:
