Matamata - Course proper:


We had twenty horses jump out from the race day barriers, they included; Lady Jasmine (Fawcett), Dame Margo Fonteyn (Miller - main picture), Lucy Wyldstyle (Winter), Colorado Prince (Bourke), Cabaret (Tan), Our Abbadean (Leveque), Unfazed (Pinn), 3f Redwood - Volks Princess (M. Grylls), 2f Encosta De Lago - Andallthatjazz (Tan), Nucleonic (Bourke), 3g Red Giant - Celtic Class (Fawcett), Iffragal (Miller), Jet Set (Bourke), Coup Bradman (Pinn), Aquilo (Richards), Cloudburst (Miller), 2g Darci Brahma - Rihanna (Miller), Embellish (Richards), 2f Burgundy - Breezed (Pinn) and 3f Mastercraftsman - Gardd (Bourke).

Heat 5 Sonny, Rachel, Venus


No.2 Sand:


Tiffany's Time (Winter) worked over 1000 metres in 1.16. She heads to Tauranga on Saturday for the 3YO 1400 metre and Michael McNab has been engaged for the ride.


Foreigner (Miller) and Madam Monica (Hillis) ran 1000 metres in 1.08, last 600 in 40. Foreigner (Savabeel) heads to Waverley on Sunday for the Maiden 1600 metre event and Madam Monica (Mastercraftsman) returns to Avondale for the Maiden 1600 metre contest.


Fastnet Fire (K. Price) and Exhibition (Pinn) covered 1000 metres in 1.06, last 600 in 40.


Grazia (Fawcett) worked in company with Primrose (Cole) over 1000 metres in 1.09, last 600 in 39.


Chadsdale (Pinn) worked at three-quarter pace over 800 metres in 1.00, last 600 in 45.


Vinevale (Cole) ran 1000 metres in 1.14.5, last 600 in 45.5.


Melody Belle (Miller) and Gold Fever (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres, running their last 600 in 45. Both head to the races next weekend, Ruakaka winner Melody Belle (Commands) heads to the Listed Murdoch Newell Stakes over 1100 metres and Gold Fever (Savabeel) is being aimed at the 2YO event over 1000 metres at Te Rapa.



Riccarton:


Imperium (K Shailer) looked in magnificent order when three-quarter paced over 1000m in 1.15.5, the last 600m in 40.0.  The Riccarton trackwork reporter states that "he is a big improver this campaign and is set to run well in the Cup".



Flemington:


Shillelagh (K. Jones) worked over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace.
