Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 4 May -


All Weather:

Brer (Leveque) worked at three quarter pace over 1400 metres, on his second lap he was clocked running the last 600 in 46.5. He looked full of running and Stephen Autridge was very happy with his work. Brer starts in the Open Steeplechase at Te Rapa on Saturday with Will Gordon aboard.

2f Burgundy - Ensorcelez (Coleman) and Grandeur (Fawcett) worked together over an easy 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 44.

2f Reliable Man - Double Babu (M Grylls), 2f Rock ‘N' Pop - Doyenne (Leveque) and 2c Cape Blanco - Cool Diamond (Pinn) all worked together at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 43.


No2. Sand:

Foreigner (Miller) looked good while travelling solo over an easy 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 40.

Race day rivals Aquilo (McNab) and Gold Fever (Lammas) worked over 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 40. Both horses line up in the Listed Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre Stakes over 1100 metres at Te Rapa on Saturday.

Rocksun (McNab) worked with a companion. They paired up over 1000 metres in a time of 1.6.5, last 600 in 38.5. Bishop Rock (Miller) followed in behind doing similar work.

Play For Time (McNab) lines up in the Rating 65 1200 metre event at Te Rapa on Saturday. Today she worked over 1000 metres at three quarter pace in 1.13.5, last 600 in 44.5.

Tavis Star (Lammas) travelled over 1000 metres at three quarter pace in 1.16, running the last 600 in 45.3.

Elegant D'Oro (Lammas) worked with Lady Makaso (Miller) over 800 metres in 55, running the last 600 in 39.

Silverdale (McNab) and 2g Uncle Mo - Indalama (Miller) ran an easy 800 metres in 53, last 600 in 38.3.

Niamh Elizabeth (Fawcett) and More Than Fast (Leveque) paired up together to work over 1000 metres. They ran 800 metres in 58.5 and the last 600 in 43.5. Both horses are scheduled to race at Wanganui on Sunday 7 May.
