Te Akau track work highlights -  Thursday 18 January -

Plough:

Verbal Command (Tan) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.28, running up the straight in 40. Master Painton (Pinn) also worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres, running very similar times. Both horses are set to race in the Maiden 3YO 1600 metres at Te Rapa this Sunday.

Preparing for the Group 1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph this Saturday, Chambord (McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14, quickening the last 600 metres to run home in 41.

Our Abbadean (K Jones) and Pinot Grey (Newman) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 44.7. Both horses prepare to race at Ellerslie on Karaka Million night 27 January; Our Abbadean prepares for the Westbury Classic and Pinot Grey works toward the Karaka Million.

Embellish (Bosson) prepares for the Karaka Million 3YO Classic by working at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.27, last 600 in 41.5.

Imperium (K Price) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14, last 600 in 44 while Tavis Star (Lammas) looked good working at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.30, home in 43.

Building toward the Mongolian Khan Trophy at Ellerslie on Karaka Million night, Melody Belle (D Miller) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 45.

Heroic Valour (McNab) and Scrutinize (Bosson) worked together over 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 40. Heroic Valour also prepares for the Group 1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph while Scrutinize is set to race at Te Rapa on Sunday in the Rating 75 1400 metres.

Wandering Eye (Newman) galloped well over an easy 1200 metres in 1.26, last 600 in 39.7.

Wide Awake (Bosson) worked over 1400 metres, running 1200 metres in 1.21.8, last 600 in 38 - this being his last piece of serious work ahead of racing in the Rating 75 2100 metres at Woodville on Monday.

Readying for the Karaka Million, The Real Beel (D Miller) and Avantage (Bosson) paired up to work at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.13, last 600 in 43. Also preparing for the Karaka Million, Al Hasa (Bosson) and Sword Of Osman (McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running very similar times.

Remington (McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.11, quickening in the straight to run home in 41.
