Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 25 January -
Plough:
Our Abbadean (K Jones) and Pinot Grey (Lammas) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 45. Our Abbadean is now set for the Westbury Classic and Pinot Grey is ready for the Karaka Million at Ellerslie this Saturday evening - drawing barrier one yesterday.
Lady Amadeus (Newman) galloped nicely over an easy 1000 metres in 1.12.
Qian Gua (Pinn) and Zavistic (Bakar) galloped an easy 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 39. Jet Set (Tan) and Lady Zeraph (Newman) also galloped over 1000 metres, running similar times.
Grazia (Lammas) worked solo at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.30, last 600 in 45.
Silver Missile (Tan) and English Rose (D Miller) galloped an easy 1200 metres in 1.25, last 600 in 39.
Inheritance (Pinn) and Together (D Miller) paired up to work at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 43.
Lillet Rose (K Price) and Lady Painton (Lammas) galloped together over 1000 metres in 1.05, last 600 in 37.3. Both horses build toward racing at Te Teko on Monday (January 29).
Also preparing to race at Te Teko on Monday; Elegant D'Oro (D Miller) and Dazed And Confused (K Price) galloped 1200 metres in 1.19, home in 37. Princess Davone (Tan) and Bak Da Master (McNab) galloped an easy 1200 metres in 1.22, last 600 in 37.
Readying for the Mongolian Khan Trophy at Ellerslie this Saturday, Melody Belle (D Miller) worked solo over 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 45.
Scarlet Princess (K Price) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres, running 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 45.
Scrutinize (McNab) worked on his own at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.30, last 600 in 44.
Handsome Rebel (McNab) galloped solo over an easy 1000 metres in 1.12, last 600 in 41.
Set to race in the Karaka Million 3YO Classic, Embellish (D Miller) worked nicely over an easy 1000 metres in 1.13, last 600 in 42. He jumps from gate 13 on Saturday.
Sword Of Osman (McNab) and Al Hasa (Bakar) galloped well over an easy 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 40. Both horses are now set for the Karaka Million on Saturday evening, drawing barriers nine and ten respectively.
Also in preparation for the Karaka Million, Avantage (Newman) and The Real Beel (D Miller) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 45. They will jump from gates five and 14.
Chadsdale (Burdan) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 58, last 600 in 43.
