Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 15 March -

Course Proper:

Set to make the journey to race at Trentham on Saturday, Heroic Valour (O Bosson) and Paulownia (M McNab) galloped together over 1000 metres in 1.11, last 600 in 40.5. Heroic Valour is ready for the $50,000 Listed Te Akau Racing Lightning Handicap (Open 1200m) and Vinnie Colgan has been engaged for the ride. Paulownia is scheduled to race in the $100,000 Group 2 Phil Cataldo Bloodstock Wellington Guineas (3YO SW, 1400m) with Michael McNab aboard.

Also readying for Trentham, Swing Note (S Rusof) worked solo over 1200 metres in 1.27, last 600 in 42. Swing Note is now set to line up in the $400,000 Group 1 New Zealand Oaks (3YOF SW, 2400m) with Opie Bosson in the saddle.

No2. Sand:

Prise De Fer (S Rusof) and Live Wire (C Lammas) galloped nicely over an easy 800 metres in 57.6, last 600 in 42.1.

Preparing for the Maiden 2100 metres at Avondale next Friday, English Rose (K Price) worked solo at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.30, home in 44.5.

Together (M McNab) and Rock Idol (D Tan) galloped an easy 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 40.1. The pair were followed by Fine Bouquet (C Lammas) who ran similar times.

Lady Painton (S Rusof) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.10, running up the straight to finish in 40. Lady Painton builds toward the Rating 75 1400 metres at Rotorua this Saturday.

Unfazed (M McNab) also readies for the Rating 75 1400 metres at Rotorua by galloping an easy 1000 metres in 1.11, home in 41.

Shebringsmerubies (S Rusof) and 2f Per Incanto - Moss Lady (C Lammas) galloped an easy 800 metres in 54.3, home in 39.6. Willpower (M McNab) and 2g Camelot - Chorus Of Angels (N Bakar) also worked over 800 metres, running very similar times.

2f Makfi - Espresso Cavallo (M McNab) and 2f Reliable Man - Keenly (C Burdan) galloped nicely over an easy 800 metres in 55, home in 39.5.
