Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 31 January - 

Plough:

Although drawing wide, Duck Road (D Miller) is set to race in the Summer Challenge at New Plymouth on Saturday, and worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, home in 43.6.

Preparing to race at Matamata on Sunday; Willpower (N Bakar) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 45. Griffin (C Burdan) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running the last 800 in 1 minute, home in 44.7. Elegant D'Oro (J Bragg) also looked good working at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.28.2, last 600 in 42. Shezathinka (N Bakar) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14.8, final 600 in 45.2. Kylie Bax (J Bragg) galloped an easy 1000 metres in 1.11, home in 40. 

Wide Awake (C Leveque) worked over an easy 1000 metres in 1.12, last 600 in 42. Witchery (J Nason) also worked over an easy 1000 metres and ran similar times. 

Melody Belle (D Miller) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14.8, last 600 in 45.2.

Meritorious (J Kamaruddin) looked good working at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running the last 600 in 44. 

Savy Yong Blonk (C Burdan) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.31.1, last 600 in 44.1.

On track to debut in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres at Tauranga next Wednesday, Pokuru's Gift (C Burdan) galloped 1000 metres in 1.10, last 600 in 41.

Beau Geste (N Bakar) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.13.6, last 600 in 43.6. Rock Idol (C Grylls) also worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running similar times. 

Chance To Dance (J Nason) worked on his own over an easy 1200 metres, running the last 1000 in 1.11, final 600 in 40.

Harlow (J Kamaruddin) worked solo at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16.7, last 600 in 45.5.

Folk Dress (D Miller) and Enrichment (N Bakar) looked good working over an easy 1000 metres in 1.11, last 600 in 41. Both two-year-olds prepare to make their race day debut over the weekend - Folk Dress heads to New Plymouth on Saturday to contest the Group 3 Woburn Farm 2YO Classic, while Enrichment stays closer to home, lining up in the Maiden 1200 metres at Matamata on Sunday.  

Al Haram (D Miller) and Te Akau Dragon (J Nason) galloped over an easy 1000 metres in 1.09, last 600 in 40.6. Together (D Miller) and Quattro Katie (N Bakar) also galloped over an easy 1000 metres, and ran similar times. 

Mary Gold (D Miller) and Miss Scandinavia (J Kamaruddin) paired up to gallop over 800 metres in 55.5, last 600 in 39.5. Irish Heart (J Nason) and Queen Of The Air (J Kamaruddin) also worked nicely over 800 metres, running similar times. 

Faltonius (J Nason) and Man Oh Man (N Bakar) galloped an easy 800 metres in 52.7, last 600 in 38.4. They were followed by Military Step (D Miller) who ran similar times. 

Excitonic (C Grylls) and Scottish Star (J Nason), Xplosion (J Nason) and Cisjurane (C Grylls) galloped in pairs over an easy 600 metres in 41.8.

2g Savabeel - Marveen (D Miller) worked on his own at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 44.
