Te Akau trackwork highlights - Thursday 20 February -





Plough: thick fog prevented timing being taken





Mazzuro (C Burdan) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres. He was followed by Secret Amour (R Cole) and Fabulous Flight (D Montes de Oca) who also worked at three quarter pace. 





When In Paris (A Jones), Star Of Bombay (M Roustoby) and Rakuten (M McNab) worked (separately) at three quarter pace over 1000 metres.  





Reiko (F Griffiths) and Pinultimate (R Alam) worked (separately) at three quarter pace over 800 metres.  





Racing in the $70,000 Group 3 Waikato Stud Slipper (2YO C&G SW 1200m) at Matamata on Saturday, Cool Aza Beel (M McNab) worked at three quarter pace, quickening over the last 600 metres. Also racing in the Slipper, Need I Say More (C Grylls) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres. 





Racing in the Wairoa Cup on Sunday, Swing Note (J Kamaruddin) worked on her own at three quarter pace over 1200 metres.  





Te Akau Caliburn (C Grylls) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres and quickened for the last 600. He looked good and is set to run in the $50,000 Listed Kaimai Stakes (Opn 2000) at Matamata on Saturday but has unfortunately drawn the widest gate. Also racing in the Kaimai Stakes, Scott Base (M McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 600 metres. 





Readying for the $200,000 Group 1 WFA Classic at Otaki on Saturday, Avantage (M Roustoby) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres and quickened for the last 600. Also racing in the Group 1 WFA Classic, Prise De Fer (M McNab) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres and quickened in the straight.  





Exaltation (A Jones) and Griffin (C Burdan) galloped over an easy 1000 metres.





Lilikoi (J Kamaruddin) galloped solo over 800 metres. 





Heracles (D Montes de Oca) and Speed Of Light (R Kozaki), Luminous (J Kamaruddin) and She's Not Bad (M Roustoby) galloped in pairs over 800 metres. 





On track for the Rating 72 2000 metres at Matamata on Saturday, Leaderboard (R Kozaki) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres and quickened for the last 600.
