Overnight rain ruled out the plough.

Three-quarter pace on the sand track:

Bound for the Wellington Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m) on NZ Oaks Day at Trentham, Saturday, No Tricks (Hercock) worked 800 metres at three-quarter pace under a hold.

Spellbinder (Hercock), contesting the Open 1400 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa, was also well held in her work over 1000m three-quarter.

Also at Te Rapa, in the 3YO 1200 metres, Darci's Dream (Schistl) went 800m and race rival Smashing (Lammas) did the same work.
