Te Akau Thursday Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights (with traveller's apologies for the delay) - Thursday 14 May -

Course proper (Heavy):

Fog prevented some timing.

Preparing to race on Saturday at Te Rapa, Arpeggio (Lammas) and Sir Darci (Hercock) worked separately over 1000m at three-quarter pace. Both worked well, although the ground was more testing than they prefer. Arpeggio (Tavistock) resumes in the 3YO 1200 metres and Sir Darci (Darci Brahma) contests the Rating 85 1200 metres.

Latin Rose (Hercock) and Opulent (Lammas) both worked well when galloping an easy 1000m in 1:09.6, last 600m in 40.

Sand track:

Scandinavian (Miller) looked good when going an easy 1000m in 1:07. Scandinavian (Dylan Thomas) is scheduled to resume in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres next Wednesday at Ruakaka. Bordeaux (Schistl) was going nicely in a similar piece of work over 1000m. Bordeaux (High Chaparral) contests the Maiden 1400 metres at the same meeting.

King's Rock (Noorman) produced good three-quarter pace work over 1000m in 1:11.

Bettorock (Lammas) and Bon Marche (Hercock) were going nicely at the end of 800m at three-quarter pace. As too were Butch Cassidy (Lammas) and Linchpin (Hercock) over 800m.

2 f Choisir - Shopping Spree (Miller) produced nice work over 800m in 57, last 600m in 42.

Highly Likely (Hercock) worked an easy 1600m. He is scheduled for the Rating 75 2100 metres next Wednesday at Ruakaka.
