Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 25 June -
Course proper (Slow):
Contesting the Maiden 1600m on Saturday at Ruakaka, Opulent (Lammas) covered 1000 metres at three-quarter pace and finished off with a quiet 600m: running 1:10 & 40 and looked good in solo work.
Bettorock (Lammas) and Bon Marche (Hercock) worked together in a nice 1000m clocked in 1:10, last 600m 40. Both horses are set to resume next Wednesday at Rotorua.
All-weather track, three-quarter pace:
Imperium (Price) went 800m in 56, last 600m 42, with ears pricked and loving his work.
Sand track, three-quarter pace:
Prince Henry (Hercock) went an easy 1000m in 1:07, last 600m in 39.5, in preparation to resume next Wednesday at Rotorua.
