Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 16 July -
Due to fog, only some times were available.
Course proper (Heavy):
Twenty metres out on the heavy grass, Stella Di Paco (Hercock) ran 1000 metres, ¾ pace, in 1:13, and looks to be right on target for the $50,000 Ryder Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on July 25 at Otaki.
Hyacinth (Price) and 1f Medaglia D'Oro - Elegant Fashion (Todd) had their first jump out from the race day gates, both learning plenty from their experience.
Sunset Pass (Miller - below), an acceptor for the Maiden Hurdle over 2800m on Saturday at Te Rapa, schooled nicely over hurdles and looks ready for his race day task this weekend.

Sand track:
Vive La Difference (Hercock) worked in a nice easy gallop over 800 metres. Babilloni (Ritchie) and Scrutinize (Miller) ran 800 metres in 55, running the last 600 in 39. Forty Winks (Price) and Gardenier (Winter) did ¾ pace work over 800, both fillies looked fantastic in their work.
Flaming (Hercock) and Our Abbadean (Winter) worked an easy 800 metres together, Ebony Star (Fawcett) followed the pair in a comfortable easy gallop. Splurge (Miller) was followed around by Court Case (Shailer) both working over 800 metres, running around the 55 second mark.
Tatters (Grylls) and 3f El Hermano - Santiga Lass (Hanafi), went an easy 800, both looking spot on in their work, in preparation to trial at Cambridge next Tuesday. Flirty Gertey (Winter) worked solo over 800 metres at ¾ pace.
Rocksun (Miller) and Royal Success (Shailer) worked together in an easy gallop over 800 metres. Co- trainer Stephen Autridge was pleased with the way both horses worked. Sequitur (Hercock) worked solo over 800 metres, at a ¾ pace gallop, in 60.2.
Risque (Price) galloped ¾ pace over 800 metres, looking to be enjoying her work. Princess Davone (Coleman) and Spritz (Hanafi), the pair worked an easy 800 in 56, running their last 600 in 42. Beacon of Hope (Miller) and 2g Castledale - Elianto (Ritchie) both looked impressive in their work over 800 metres.
Love Triangle (Hercock) and Special Memories (Coleman) went an easy 800 in the fog, co-trainer Stephen Autridge describing their work as ‘perfect'. Thetruthisoutthere (Winter) followed the pair a furlong behind, looking comfortable in her work.
2g Postponed - Promissory (Ritchie) and 2g Sahkee's Secret - Spin ‘ N' Grin (Miller) worked together in an easy gallop over 800 metres. 1g Charge Forward - Catbird Kitty (Fawcett) and 1f Darci Brahma - Corsage (Winter) went ¾ pace over 800 metres.
Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Lady Painton (Gomas) worked together in an easy gallop over 800 metres, both riders were thrilled with the feel they received from these fillies. Esprit De Corps (Ritchie) in the company of Vintage Verdot (Miller) worked over 800 metres in 55.4, followed by Amperage (Shailer) who looked outstanding in his work.
Carmenize (Winter) and Ekraarstatic (Price) ran a lovely, easy 800 in 56, running their last 600 in 40.5, ahead of trialling at Cambridge next Tuesday. 2g Paco Boy - L'Accord (Ritchie - below left) alongside Xtravagant (Miller - below right) ran 800 metres in 58, running their last 600 in 42. The pair were followed up by 2g Per Incanto - Flying Florence (Shailer).

Fastnet Fire (Winter) and Grazia (Hercock) worked as a pair over 800 metres and both looking great in an easy gallop. In an easy gallop, Skyscraper (Price) worked over 1000 metres in preparation for his trial at Cambridge next Tuesday.
All-weather track:
Imperium (Price) worked over 800 metres in 52, with co-trainer Stephen Autridge ecstatic with his work. Hushed (Hanafi) looks to be coming up beautifully this preparation, with a strong working gallop over 800m.
