Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 3 September -
Sand track:
Flirty Gertey (Zac-Syed) and Love Actually (Lammas - pictured at recent trials) worked together over 1000m in 1:08. Madame Jamai (Hercock) ran the 1000m in 1:09.5, last 600m in 41. Flirty Gertey (Thorn Park) and Madame Jamai (Minstrel Court) are heading south on Monday to join the team of four based at Riccarton.
Risque (Miller) and Tatters (Fawcett) went an easy 1000m in 1:11.7, last 600m in 41.4, both looking good.
Lady Painton (Hercock) clocked 1:09, last 600m 38, when working solo over an easy 1000m. In similar work, Niamh Elizabeth (Zac-Syed) ran the 1000m in 1:07, last 600m in 38.5, and Thetruthisoutthere (R. Jones) looked good when clocking 1:06.5, last 600m in 38.
Sand track, three-quarter pace:
Splurge (Richards) and Zambezi Warrior (Shalier) worked together over 1000m in 1:13.5, last 600m in 42.5. Bishop Rock (Richards) went 1000m in 1:16.
Bounteous (Hanafi) worked perfectly to time over 800m.
All-weather track:
Bon Marche (Zac-Syed) and Imperium (K. Price) worked together over 1200m. They ran 1000m in 1:06.3, last 600m in 39.4.
Skyscraper (Lammas) went an easy 1200m, looking good. Star of Greenbeel (Miller) went 1000m in 1:12, last 600m in 42.
Riccarton:
Sand track:
Preparing for racing on Saturday at Riccarton, Flaming (Gerard), Princess Davone (Ritchie), and Vive La Difference (Gerard) each worked solo over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace.
Special Memories (Ritchie) pace worked, prior to the $50,000 Canterbury Belle Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on 19 September at Riccarton.
