Te Akau track work highlights -  Thursday 10 September -  

Sand track:

Skyscraper (Lammas) went nicely in easy work over 1200 metres.

Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Bishop Rock (Richards) worked over 1000m in 1:05, last 600m in 36.5, both going well.

Wolfwhistle (Hanafi) went an easy 1000m in 1:10, last 600m in 40. Sequitur (Lammas) did similar work in 1:09. Interstellar (Gomas) clocked 1:08 for 1000m and the last 600m in 39. Babilloni (Richards) ran 1000m in 1:10, last 600m in 40.

Carmenize (Lammas) and Its Our Showtime (Hercock) covered 800m in 52, last 600m in 37.5.  Forty Winks (Zac-Syed) and Vinevale (Fawcett) both appeared to work well over an easy 800m. Spritz (Hanafi) went 800m in 56.4, last 600m in 40, and continues to improve.

Echezeaux (Hercock) worked strongly in an easy gallop over 800m. Lady Pinot (R. Jones) galloped 800m, last 600m in 39. Bordeaux (Shailer) and Safekeeping (Moore) ran an easy 800m in 52, last 600m in 39. Promosso (Gomas) and 4 m Fastnet Rock - Scotch Bonnet (Lammas) went an easy 800m together. Hysteria Lane (Gomas) went solo over 800m, easy, as did Show No Emotion (Hercock), Fas (Price), Grazia (Miller) and Astrid (Zac-Syed).

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Love Triangle (Miller) worked over 1000m at three-quarter pace, sneaking home a touch quicker, and looked in good order. Esprit De Corp (Richards) went 800m, three-quarter.

Ekraarstatic (Price) went 1000m, as did Star of Greenbeel (Miller).

2 f Saperavi - Doyenne (Price) and 2 f Smart Missile - Panorama Ridge (Miller) went together over 800m, as did 2 f Alamosa - Ensorcelez (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Minstrel Court - Paixanito (Fawcett).

Sand track:

Preparing for the Northland Breeders' Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on Saturday at Ruakaka, Xtravagant (Cameron) worked with Beacon of Hope (Hercock), contesting the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres at the same meeting, over 1000 metres in 1:04, last 400m in 23.9.

Also running in the Breeders' Stakes, Stella Di Paco (Lammas) worked solo over 1000m in 1:07.5, last 400m in 24.
