Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 17 September -

Jump outs, course proper (slow):

Bordeaux (Hanafi), Astrid (Lammas), Hysteria Lane (Herock), and Safekeeping (K. Jones) went at a good gallop over 700 metres in 41.5. Just Call Me Riley (Zac-Syed), Its Our Showtime (Lammas), Zavistic (Hercock), and 3 g Savabeel - Starring (K. Jones) covered 700m in 42.3. Fas (Hercock), 3 g Saperavi - Aventura (K. Jones) and 2 c O'Reilly - Royal Era (Lammas) clocked 700m in 42.5.

Vinevale (Zac-Syed) and 4 m Fastnet Rock - Scotch Bonnet (K. Price) jumped out and went three-quarter pace over 700m.

Sand track gallops:

Love Triangle (Miller) appears to have thrived since her impressive debut win at Ruakaka, when working solo over 1000m at three-quarter pace in preparation for the Gold Trail Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) on Saturday at Hastings. Love Triangle (Encosta De Lago) has drawn barrier one of thirteen in the race for three-year-old fillies and is likely to be well-favoured.

Wolfwhistle (Hercock) galloped nicely over 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 37. Star of Greenbeel (Lammas) went an easy 1000m in 1:10, last 600m in 40. Echezeaux (Hanafi) went an easy 1000m, working well.

Promosso (Gomas), sharpened with blinkers on, running 800m in 52 and the last 600m 37.

Grazia (Lammas) covered 800m in 58, last 600m in 42. Sir Darci (Coleman) ran 800m in 54, last 600m in 38.

Hushed (Zac-Syed - below left) and Zambezi Warrior (K. Jones - below right) worked together over 1200m. They ran the 1000m in 1:07.9, last 600m in 38.

Sequitur (Lammas) worked well over 1000m. He ran the 800m in 52.5, last 600m in 38.7

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Tatters (Fawcett) looked good when working to time over 1000m in 1:14.

Riccarton:

Princess Davone, Special Memories, and Windborne prepared for the Canterbury Belle Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on Saturday at Riccarton. Special Memories (Walsh) worked keenly at three-quarter pace over 1000m. Windborne (Prastiyou) was followed by Flaming (Walsh), racing in the next fortnight, over 1000m at three-quarter pace. Princess Davone (Ritchie) and Madame Jamai (Gerard) pace worked over two laps on the cinder track.

Vive La Difference (Gerard) went 1000m at three-quarter pace in preparation for the Rating 75 1400 metres on Saturday.

Bishop Rock (Richards) went 1000m at three-quarter pace on the sand.
