Te Akau track work highlights Thursday 24 September -
Fog prevented some timing.
Sand track:
Love Triangle (Miller) continued her preparations for the Gold Trail Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) on 3 October at Hastings, when working fluently over 1000m at three-quarter pace.
Hushed (Hanafi) looked good, going an easy 1200m.
Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Ekraarstatic (K. Jones) went an easy 1000m, pleasing both riders. Niamh Elizabeth (K. Jones) and Our Drahma Queen (Zac-Syed) did similar work over 1000m.
Sequitur (Zac-Syed) worked boldly over 1000m with blinkers on.
Show No Emotion (Hercock) and Osmunda (Coleman) worked nicely together over 800, running the last 600m in 36.
Sir Darci (Hercock) and Fas (Price) worked over 800m, as did Grazia (Hercock) and Promosso (Hanafi). Spritz (Fawcett) and Hysteria Lane (Miller) were tracked along by Forty Winks (Zac-Syed) over 800m.
Astrid worked solo over 800 in 52, last 600m in 37.7.
Alrina (Price) and 3 f Showcasing - Louders (Price) went nicely together over 600m.
Sand track, three-quarter pace:
Imperium (Price) went 800m solo.
All-weather:
Tiffany's Time (Zac-Syed), Bounteous (K. Joness) and 2 f Alamosa - Ensorcelez (Hanafi) worked as a trio over 600m.
2 f Iffraaj - Lady Sakura (Price) and 3 f Saperavi - Paraiba (Fawcett) paired up to run 600m.
3 f High Chaparral - Star Affair (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky (Gomas) went together over 600m at three-quarter pace.
Taupo:
With high rainfall in Matamata, trainers Stephen Autridge & Jamie Richards and the crew took a team to gallop on a dead course proper at Taupo.
Scrutinize (Cameron) and Xtravagant (K. Jones) worked beautifully together over 1000 metres in 1:03, last 600m in 37.
Star of Greenbeel (Miller) and a mate went 1000m 1:04.8, last 600m in 36.5, both worked very well.
Beacon of Hope (Miller) and Wolfwhistle (K. Jones) went 1000m in 1:08, last 600m in 38. Wolfwhistle in particular worked up very nicely.
Amperage (Hercock) and Rocksun (Cameron) covered 1000m in 1:08.5, last 600m in 38.4, and both worked nicely.
Echezeaux (Hercock) and It's Our Showtime (Cameron) picked up from the 800m to cover the final 600m in 36.5, with each pleasing in their work.
