Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 7 January -

Plough:

Xtravagant (Miller) worked over 1200m in 1:32, last 600m in 44.2, pleasingly. Xtravagant (Pentire) is preparing for the $225,000 Levin Classic (Gr. 1, 1600m) on 16 January at Trentham.

Chambord (Hercock) and Red Poppy (Miller) went 1000m in 1:13, last 600m in 43, both enjoying their work.

I See Fire (K. Jones) and Princess Davone (Coleman) ran 1200m in 1:20.3, last 600m in 37.3, which was good work by the pair.

Bishop Rock (Shailer) and Zambezi Warrior (Ritchie) worked over 1200m. They ran 1000m in 1:16, last 600m in 45.2.

Flaming (K. Jones) ran 1000m in 1:12.5, last 600m in 41.8. Herschal (Ritchie) went 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 42.

Carmenize (Hercock) and 3 f Saperavi - Primo Quest (K. Jones) went an easy 1000m in 1:09.8, last 600m in 39.6.

Corporate Missile (Lammas - below left) and Leonessa (Miller - below right) went an easy 800m in 50, last 600m in 37. Alrina (Hanafi) and Lady Jasmine (Fawcett) ran 800m in 54.

Royal O'Reilly (Ritchie - below right) and 2 g Alamosa - Paint Me A Dream (Zac-Syed - below left) ran 600m in 38, both working nicely.

Maestro (Shailer) worked nicely over an easy 1200m.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Bounteous (Fawcett) and Opulent (Lammas) covered 1200m in 1:28, last 600m in 43.8, both working well.

Sir Darci (Zac-Syed) went 800m in 59.6, last 600m in 44.

Cabaret (Lammas) and Vinevale (Fawcett) both travelled well over 1000m in 1:17, last 600m in 45.

Jump outs:

2 f High Chaparral - Dancing Forever (Fawcett) and 2 f Savabeel - Catalina (Hanafi) jumped away from the race day gates and worked up to three-quarter pace over 600m.
