Grass:

Brer (Richards) prepares for his first steeplechase start for the season on 7 May at Te Rapa in the Open Steeple over 4000m, with a gallop over ground on the course proper this morning. Brer (China Cat) completed his last 600m in 44. Chambord (Leveque) in the company of Rocksun (Ritchie) worked over 1200m in 1.18.4, their final 600m in 38.9.

Sand:

Gr.2 $100,000 Championship Stakes' candidate Zambezi Warrior (Ritchie) worked over ground, he ran 1200m in 1.30, and his last 600m in 45. He looks on track for his black type assignment on Saturday at Ellerslie. Thorn Park filly Spritz (Leveque) covered 1000m in 1.08, her final 600m in 39.5.

Last start winner Flirty Gertey (M. Grylls) and Its Our Showtime (Leveque) worked beautifully as a pair over 1000m in 1.02, their final 600 in 36.2, both catching the eye by co-trainer Stephen Autridge. Kiusan (Fawcett) and Pure Savalina (Noorman) prepared for trialling on Tuesday at Te Teko with a gallop this morning over 800m in 55.5, their last 600m in 45.

Esprit De Corps (Miller) worked solo over 1000m in 1.06.7, his last 600m in 39.4. Consistent mares Flaming (Leveque) and Latin Rose (M. Grylls) worked over 800m in 52.6, their final 600m in 37.9. Shillelagh (Miller) went 800m in 52.6, her last 600m in 38.4. Shillelagh (Savabeel) looks to kick off her autumn campaign at the Te Teko Trials on Tuesday.

The 2f Redoute's Choice - Scarlett Lady (Fawcett) and Winehouse (Noorman) ran 800m in 52.7, running their last 600m in 37. O'Reilly three year old Christine Louise (Leveque) and 2f Redwood - Volks Princess went 800m in 52.5, their last 600m in 38.
