Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 26 May - fog prevented timing -

Course proper (Heavy):

Christine Louise (Fawcett) and Herschal (K. Jones) went an easy 1000m, followed in turn by Tatters (M. Grylls). All three are preparing to race next Wednesday 1 June at Matamata.

Grandeur (Hanafi) and Skyscraper (Miller) ran an easy 1200m together, both looking to race at Matamata.

Course proper, three-quarter pace (Heavy):

Preparing for the Maiden 1400 metres on Sunday at Hawera, Esprit De Corps (Leveque) ran 1200m.

Grazia (Leveque) and Fastnet Fire (Lammas) went 1400m.

Gardenier (Lammas) went 1000m at three-quarter pace.

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Last start winner Rocksun (Richards) went 1000m ahead of the Rating 65 1400 metres at Hawera.

Gingernuts (Richards) did similar work over 1000m. Having followed a debut second with a nice win, two-year-old gelding Gingernuts (Iffraaj) is preparing for the Castletown Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on 4 June at Wanganui.
